Abstract: New large-capacity polyethylene terephthalate siloxane analogue was obtained by Zn(OAc)2-promoted polycondensation of 1,3-bis[p-(methoxycarbonyl)phenyl]disiloxane with ethylene glycol at 200°C. The thermal and thermooxidative stabilities of the polymer were evaluated.
