Abstract: The paper gives a short description of the history of creating the Chair of Probability Theory at Lomonosov Moscow State University and of its role in formation and development of the probability theory. We provide also information on the main scientific investigations and pedagogical work of the members of the Chair.
Key words: probability theory, mathematical statistics, theory of stochastic processes, applications, activity of members of the Chair of Probability Theory of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
