Numerical simulation of laminar flame propagation

A. A. Zotkevich

Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk
Abstract: A new laminar flame simulation algorithm is proposed. The main idea is to compute the grid enthalpy on a coarse grid different from the concentration computed on a fine grid. The efficiency of the new algorithm is illustrated. In addition, the exponent tabulation and the OpenMP parallelization efficiency are analyzed. Some aspects of algorithmic and software realization of the laminar flame simulation are also described. The structure of the spatial grid in use is discussed. The work was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (project N 07-01-00164).
Keywords: laminar flame; adaptive grids; explicit schemes.
