Thiols as synthons

I. V. Koval'

Ukrainian University of Chemical Engineering, Dnepropetrovsk
Abstract: The results of recent research in the field of thiols chemistry are arranged systematically and summarised. The structure and physicochemical properties of thiols and their methods of preparation are described and their use as synthons in the preparation of various sulfur-containing compounds is discussed. The bibliography includes 419 references.
