Abstract:
Subpicosecond (350 fsec) high-power (6 GW) ultraviolet radiation (308 nm) pulses were generated using a specially developed system. The energy obtained from an excimer amplifier operating in the saturation regime was found to increase because of the broadening of the spectrum of the amplified signal when femtosecond pulses were generated.
