Abstract:
Third-harmonic generation of laser radiation is studied in colloidal solutions of platinum and copper. The values of χ(3) in these solutions at a wavelength of 1064 nm were measured to be 2 × 10-14 and 10-14 CGSE units, and the efficiency of the Nd : YAG laser radiation conversion to the third harmonic was 7 × 10-7 and 3 × 10-7, respectively.
