Abstract: It has been shown by X-ray structure analysis, 19F NMR spectroscopy and PM3 calculations that non-typical (it is assumed) Z,Z isomers of (ArN=)2S, discovered only recently in the form of sterically hindered derivatives, are unexpectedly widespread being found for the title compounds as well.
