Abstract: A three-component condensation of 4-iminothiazolidin-2-ones or 4-iminoimidazolidin-2-ones with aldehydes and 5-aminopyrazole affords the corresponding 1,7-dihydro-6H-pyrazolo[3,4-b][1,3]thiazolo[5,4-e]pyridin-6-one or 5,7-dihydroimidazo[4,5-b]pyrazolo- [4,3-e]pyridin-6(1H)-one derivatives.
