Dimerization of donor–acceptor cyclopropanes

R. A. Novikov, Yu. V. Tomilov

N.D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russian Federation
Abstract: Donor–acceptor cyclopropanes are sources of 1,3-dipoles. Owing to this, they readily enter into cycloaddition and annulation with various substrates and thus play an important role in contemporary organic chemistry. In the absence of substrates, donor–acceptor cyclopropanes can undergo dimerization reactions in quite various ways which are summarized in this review.
