Abstract:
Cellular combustion regime of a 40% H2–air mixture in the presence of Pt wire at 270–350°C was observed for the first time. The regime is caused by the catalytic action of Pt-containing particles formed by the decomposition of volatile platinum oxide in a gas phase.
