Abstract: Copper and nickel complexes with coumarin 3-azo derivatives were synthesized and characterized using IR and UV spectroscopy, magnetochemistry, quantum-chemical calculations and X-ray diffraction analysis. The data obtained on molecular and crystal structures of nickel metal chelate is the first instance in the series of metal complexes of coumarin 3-azo derivative.
