Abstract: Three new C60(CF3)18 isomers have been synthesized by high-temperature trifluoromethylation of [60]fullerene with gaseous CF3I, isolated by HPLC, and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction using synchrotron radiation.
Keywords: fullerene C60, trifluoromethylation, HPLC separation, synchrotron radiation, structure elucidation.
