Abstract: Polypeptide consisting of ψ-N-isopropyl glutamine and glutamic acid (90 : 10, mol/mol) was synthesized by post- polymerization modification of poly(ψ-methyl glutamate). The obtained polypeptide exhibited thermoresponsive properties with the lowest critical solution temperature in the range of 41–54 °C depending on the medium and polymer concentration.
Keywords: polypeptide, thermoresponsive polymer, poly(ψ-methyl glutamate), poly(ψ-N-isopropyl glutamine), phase transition temperature.
