Abstract:
We propose higher-order generalizations of Jacobsthal's p-adic approximation for binomial coefficients. Our results imply explicit formulas for linear combinations of binomial coefficients (ipp) (i=1,2,…) that are divisible by arbitrarily large powers of prime p.
